What you get

## Books that are compliant, connected and quietly automatic.

Odoo accounting is not a spreadsheet with extra steps. It records VAT correctly, reconciles your payments and bank on its own, and is being set up now for the e-invoicing mandate that is coming to every UAE business.

### 5% VAT & FTA returns

VAT, your TRN, tax codes and the FTA return format configured so filing is built from your live books, not rebuilt in a spreadsheet each quarter.

### E-invoicing readiness

We set your invoicing up in the structured, consistent way the UAE e-invoicing mandate expects, so you are ready before it reaches your business.

### Bank & payment reconciliation

Gateway payouts, card settlements and bank statements flow into Odoo and reconcile on their own, so your reports match what is actually in the account.

### Multi-currency & multi-company

Invoice and report in several currencies and across companies, with the exchange differences handled for you.

### Audit-ready records

Every invoice, credit note and payment is stored, numbered and traceable, so an audit or a tax review is a search, not a scramble.

### Corporate-tax-ready books

Clean records that both VAT and UAE corporate tax draw from, so you are not reconstructing the year when a deadline lands.

The mandate

## UAE e-invoicing is coming. Here is the short version.

The UAE is introducing mandatory **e-invoicing** in phases through 2026 and 2027. Instead of a PDF or a paper invoice, businesses will issue and report invoices in a standard structured format, exchanged through accredited service providers and reported to the Federal Tax Authority.

It is not a reason to panic, but it is a reason to get your invoicing in order now. Businesses on clean, connected accounting will switch on e-invoicing with little fuss. Businesses running invoices across email, Word and three spreadsheets will feel it. Setting Odoo up properly today is the cheapest way to be ready.

How it works

## What Peppol is, and why it matters in the UAE.

Most people hear **e-invoicing** and picture a government portal they log into and type invoices into. That is not what the UAE has built. The country has adopted a decentralised model on the **Peppol network**, the same international standard already used across Europe and Singapore, so invoices move between businesses automatically instead of being re-keyed by anyone.

In practice it works like this. You send your invoice from your own system to your **Accredited Service Provider**. Your provider passes it across the Peppol network to your customer's provider, and in parallel the tax data is reported to the Federal Tax Authority. The Ministry of Finance accredits the providers. Neither you nor your customer touches a government portal at any point.

### What a Peppol ID is

Every business on the network has a **Peppol ID**. It is simply the address your invoices are delivered to, in the same way an email address identifies a mailbox, and your Accredited Service Provider registers it for you. If your customer and supplier records are incomplete or inconsistent, this is the step where that shows up. It is the main reason we tell people to clean their data before the deadline rather than during it.

### Where Odoo fits, and where we do not

Odoo issues invoices as structured data rather than as a PDF, which is what the network expects. Our job is to make sure the data leaving your Odoo is clean and complete, and that it can hand off cleanly to an Accredited Service Provider once you appoint one. Your quarterly **VAT filing** is then built from the same live records, so the VAT201 return you submit agrees with your books instead of being rebuilt in a spreadsheet each quarter.

To be clear about what we are not: Tijara Tech is not an Accredited Service Provider itself, because accreditation is granted by the Ministry of Finance. We work with accredited providers and can put one in place for you. We handle the part on either side of it, which is your system, your data and your reporting.

Free checklist

## Your UAE e-invoicing readiness checklist.

Run through these before the mandate reaches you. If most are already true, you are in good shape. If they are not, that is exactly what we help fix.

- Your business is VAT-registered and your TRN is correct on every document

- Every customer and supplier record has complete, accurate tax details

- Your product and service list is clean, with the right tax code on each line

- All invoices are issued from one system, in a consistent, structured format

- Invoice numbering is sequential and gap-free

- Credit notes and refunds are recorded against the original invoice

- Payments and bank feeds are connected, so what you invoice ties to what you receive

- Records are kept digitally and are audit-ready, not scattered across spreadsheets

- You know who will exchange and report invoices on your behalf when the mandate reaches you

- You have talked to your ERP partner about turning on e-invoicing in Odoo before the deadline

Compare

## Connected books vs disconnected accounting.

| What matters | Odoo accounting | Disconnected setup |
| --- | --- | --- |
| VAT returns | Built from live books | Rebuilt in a spreadsheet |
| E-invoicing | Set up and ready | A scramble near the deadline |
| Reconciliation | Automatic, payments to bank | Manual, done late |
| Audit trail | Every document traceable | Hunt across folders |
| One source of truth | Sales, stock and books agree | Numbers rarely match |
| Best for | A business that wants to stop re-keying | A business still doing VAT by hand |

## Common questions

**Is Odoo ready for UAE VAT?**

Yes. We configure the 5 percent VAT, your TRN, tax codes and the FTA return format, so filing is built from your live books rather than rebuilt in a spreadsheet each quarter.

**What is the UAE e-invoicing mandate, and does this help?**

The UAE is introducing mandatory e-invoicing in phases through 2026 and 2027, where invoices are exchanged and reported in a structured format. We set Odoo up so your invoicing is ready for it, and we walk you through what your business needs to do.

**Can you connect Odoo to our bank and payments?**

Yes, and that is our focus. Payments, gateway payouts and bank statements flow into Odoo, so reconciliation runs on its own and your reports match what is actually in the account.

**We use Tally or QuickBooks now. Can you move us?**

Yes. We migrate your chart of accounts, open balances and history into Odoo and reconcile it, so nothing is lost and the numbers still tie out after the move.

**Do you support corporate tax reporting too?**

We set the books up cleanly so corporate tax and VAT both draw from the same accurate records. For the filing itself we work alongside your accountant or tax agent.
