		The production pipeline

## Every stage of perfume production, in one place.

Perfume manufacturing has a lot of moving parts, and most of them usually live in different heads and different spreadsheets. Flowline puts the whole pipeline in one system, so an order can be followed from the day it is confirmed to the day it ships. Here is the path every order takes.

			- **Order confirmed**The order is logged with its scents, quantities and packaging, and it becomes visible to everyone who will touch it.

			- **Payment advance**The advance is recorded against the order, so the floor and finance are working from the same number.

			- **Artwork**Bottle and box artwork is prepared and signed off before anything is printed, so nothing goes to print twice.

			- **Materials**Bottles, caps, boxes, labels and the fragrance itself are checked and requisitioned. If something is missing, the order is blocked with the reason attached.

			- **Coating and print**Bottles and boxes move through coating and printing, tracked as they go.

			- **Production**Volumes and batches are recorded as the fragrance is made and bottled.

			- **Quality control**Each order passes a QC check before it moves on. A fail sends it back with a note, not a shrug.

			- **Filling and packing**The finished units are filled, packed and counted, ready to leave.

			- **Dispatch**The order is marked ready and dispatched, and its full history stays on the record.

			Flowline is built on Odoo, so the production side is not sitting on an island. The same system that tracks your orders also holds your inventory, your invoices and your accounting, which means the number your floor sees and the number your finance team sees are the same number.

			That connection is the difference between a production tracker and a real ERP. Advances, outstanding balances, and what you have invoiced against what you have received all sit next to the order they belong to. When you want to know whether a job is profitable, or where the cash is, you are not stitching reports together by hand.

Technical detail

## How Flowline actually works

- **Eleven stages, one direction.** Order Confirmed, Payment Advance, Artwork, Materials, Coating & Print, Production, Quality Control, Filling & Packing, Ready for Dispatch, Shipped, Delivered. An order reaches Materials only once artwork is approved, and leaves it only when every material line is received.
- **Progress cannot be typed in.** Stages are linked to the work behind them, so the status on the screen is a record of what happened rather than someone’s estimate of it.
- **Maker-checker on sensitive actions.** Payments, dispatch, artwork approval and order creation wait for a second signature, and the person who entered an action cannot be the person who approves it.
- **Payment gate at dispatch.** Nothing ships while a balance is outstanding unless Finance grants an explicit credit release, and the receivable stays on the books either way.
- **Immutable audit trail.** Every create, edit, stage move, approval and rejection carries a name and a timestamp and cannot be edited afterwards.
- **My Day.** One screen per user showing approvals awaiting them, requisitions, blocked orders, overdue work, and anything ready to ship with payment still due.
- **Owner dashboard.** Invoiced against cash actually received on a cumulative curve, receivables bucketed by age, on-time delivery measured from real delivery dates, and orders by stage so the bottleneck is named rather than guessed at.
- **Requisitions.** Material requisitions raised from Production, Procurement or the Store, routed for approval with priority and required-by dates.
- **Roles and languages.** Nine roles configured out of the box, and a full English and Arabic interface switched per user in one click.
